Dana and his crew at Allied Wrecking Boston were a life saver for me. I had a badly decaying garage on the property I had just bought and it would cost more to repair than to demolish. It was a little more complicated than a straight demolition because the back wall and the extension wall were the divider between my property and a commercial property hosting a grocery store. I had initially hired another contractor to do the job but it was one delay after another when it came to permitting and increases in the estimate. After running out of patience, I needed to find another solution, so I called Allied Wrecking Boston after reading all of their amazing reviews online. The owner came to my property the same day, looked everything over, and gave me an estimate that was lower than the other contractor. Needless to say, I agreed to his terms quickly. Dana submitted the permit request for my garage demolition right away, and from that point forward, I knew it was going to be much easier working with him that my previous contractor. This may have been the hardest time in history of securing a permit for any project given the restrictions with COVID-19, but Dana actively followed up with the city and left another job site when the inspector came to examine my property, knowing he could answer any questions that may cause further delays. Within a week we had the elusive permit. Dana also made things much easier when it came to dealing with the commercial property my garage was backed up against. They had balked at the other contractor saying it was going to take several weeks because it meant no one could park on the other side of their lot. Dana promised he could complete the demolition in a matter of days, and he made sure to delivery on his promise. He was also able to preserve the extension wall which the other contractor said would most likely have to come down as collateral damage. I was so happy with the results that I ended up hiring him and his team to do other projects. They built a new wall where the back of the old garage use to be by using concrete at the bottom, a fence above it, and then faux ivy covering the fence. It looks absolutely beautiful now and much less industrial. They paved the whole lot and cut down all the brush and weeds so that we can double the amount of cars we can park on the property. They were even available to do touch-ups around the rental property by painting doors, fixing windows and grates, and more. Not only am I happy, my tenants are thrilled. The rental has great curb appeal now and the lot and backyard area look fantastic, and are no longer a source of parking issues. The bottom line is that the Allied Wrecking Boston team is professional, friendly, very cost-effective, and take pride in their work.
