Will the contractor I hire need to be licensed to work in Bibb County?
Yes. State law and local ordinances require all contractors be licensed to work in the state of Georgia. The contractor you hire for your demolition project must be fully licensed in order to obtain the necessary permits for your job. As of 2008, Georgia law requires certain general and residential contractors to have a valid 'state card' prior to performing any demolition or construction work. Further information on this requirement is available on the Secretary of State website.
