Do I need a permit for interior demolition?
Most cities require permits for interior demolition just as they would for exterior demolition. These can typically be acquired at your local Buildings Department and are just a way to acknowledge that you will shut off all the utilities, ensure there is no water running to the renovated area, and notify neighbors of the upcoming project.
